With his indomitable skill in the faceoff circle and his relentless two-way play, Joel Otto was a gigantic presence at center ice for the Calgary Flames during their Stanley Cup winning season.
As an assistant coach with the Calgary Hitmen, Big “Otts” helps young players reach their goals. He’s also an essential part of the Flames Alumni and their perpetual support of the community.
“It's been a pleasure spending time with all the guys that are in town and knowing that at the drop of a hat they’ll be there for you for a charity event. It's a good group. Kudos to Pep for being the glue behind it all and kudos to all the guys who are in town and make it happen.”
When he’s not coaching the Hitmen or helping charities with the Flames Alumni, Joel can be found spending time at home with his wife Kary, and their children Ben and Kacey.
